1. Drive and operate cranes, long bucket trucks, trailer trucks, and other assigned heavy equipment during the erection of 69kV poles and line hardware.
2. Ensure safe lifting and placement of poles, transformers, and other heavy line components in accordance with approved lifting plans and safety protocols.
3. Conduct routine pre-operation inspections and perform basic maintenance of equipment to ensure mechanical reliability.
4. Coordinate closely with the rigger and ground crew during lifting and installation operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Crane Operation: Safely and effectively operate various types of cranes (e.g., mobile, tower, gantry, overhead) to lift, move, and place loads according to project plans and signals.
• Safety and Inspection: Conduct daily pre-operational inspections of the crane and rigging equipment to ensure they are in proper working order. Identify and report any mechanical issues, defects, or malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Load Management: Calculate crane capacities, load weights, and rigging requirements to ensure all lifts are within safe limits.
• Communication: Maintain clear and constant communication with riggers, signal persons, and site supervisors via radio or hand signals to coordinate lifting operations and ensure site safety.
• Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs, inspection reports, and other necessary paperwork related to crane operations and maintenance.

• Safely and Efficiently facilitate the mounting and dismounting of empty and loaded containers from truck chassis.

• Accurately position containers in designated stockpile areas to optimize space and accessibility.

2. Equipment Operation and Maintenance

• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.

• Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of equipment, promptly reporting any issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team.

• Provide accurate reports to supervisors regarding equipment condition, container handling metrics, and operational concerns.
