OSM Group is seeking a meticulous Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and managing the costs associated with our operations. This role involves preparing detailed cost reports, conducting cost analyses, and collaborating with various departments to ensure financial efficiency and accuracy.
General and Costing Accountant:
- Expertise in Finance modules, including but not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Receivable (e.g. Sales Invoicing and collection recording in the system), Accounts Payable, Cash & Bank processing, Fixed Assets registration and deprecation, and in-house product Costing
- Knowledgeable in Costing (especially std costing) and Inventory movement transactions & procedures, especially hands on daily /month end/year end costing related tasks, such as std cost setting, labor efficiency &rate analysis, BOM usage variance analysis, closure of Manufacturing Order, gross margin analysis, leading stocktaking and variance analysis etc.
- Having generic knowledge of local taxation like VAT, expanded withholding tax (EWT), Corporate Income Tax, BIR submission procedure etc.
- Document functional specifications and business process flows, providing best practice recommendations and solution alternatives.
- Proven track record in accounting functions such as month-end closings, audits schedule preparation, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
Education and skills requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience in the manufacturing industry
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Knowledge or background in ERP working environment, experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is an advantage.
