Texting is so powerful, it's protected. Globally countries are enforcing higher levels of compliance around business texting. At Sinch, we have a large number of automated security and compliance mechanisms. But as good as this is, it does not replace human verification.
This role will work in conjunction with other security measures to ensure our customers can use their accounts to their full extent and help keep our platform free of bad actors, and ensure we meet compliance regulations at all times.
In this role, you will become highly skilled in spotting non-compliant messaging and bad actors who look to send message content in a fraudulent manner. This role is part of our Compliance & Monitoring team, working alongside specialists across multiple teams in Sinch, and works extremely closely with our Customer Support team.
This role will monitor messaging compliance in real time, provide verification of new account sign-ups and verify changes to customer's registered business information.
As a Compliance & Monitoring Specialist, you will:
- Monitor and approve live message content for customers, looking for possible fraud, spam and phishing content
- Detect and report fraudulent activity and take appropriate actions to block accounts
- Be a compliance expert - stay up to date on new compliance updates and share new information and best practices with teams across the business
- Identify opportunities to educate customers about content guidelines and texting responsibly, working hand in hand with the support teams to ensure our customers are sending compliant messaging

This includes, but is not limited to, email marketing (supported by tools such as Optizmo and Lashback), social media, and paid search. Your Mission::
- Overall Compliance Monitoring : Proactively monitor brand compliance across third-party email campaigns, social media, paid search, and other advertising channels. Set up and manage Google Alerts and other monitoring tools to track potential compliance issues. Conduct manual compliance checks until additional tools or systems are implemented.
- Optizmo Monitoring : Ensure publishers regularly download suppression files on a consistent cadence, monitor IDs and sub-IDs for accurate tracking and compliance, and submit/manage global opt-outs per regulations and company policies.
- Lashback Monitoring : Verify that publishers use approved creatives, including subject lines and "from" names. Ensure opt-out language and links are accurate, present, and functional. Identify and escalate non-compliant activity as needed.
- Paid Media and Social Media Monitoring : Review paid search and social media ads to ensure adherence to client guidelines and standards. Check creatives, messaging, and brand placements for compliance.

- Audit Committee Support
- Record and maintain minutes of Audit Committee meetings.
- Corporate Governance
- Annually review and update Committee Charters and present changes to the Corporate Governance and Board of Directors for approval.
- Review and update the Corporate Governance Manual.
- Ensure submission of the Annual Corporate Governance Report (ACGR) to the SEC.
- Conduct self-assessments for the Board and Board-level Committees, presenting results to the Corporate Governance Committee and Board of Directors.
- Coordinate annual training on Corporate Governance for the Board of Directors and Senior Management.
- Related Party Transactions (RPTs)
- Review and update RPT policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update the RPT database.
- Present RPTs requiring review and approval to the RPT Committee.
- Risk Assessment and Compliance Investigations
- Conduct risk assessments related to new laws, regulations, and products.
- Investigate compliance incidents and carry out further investigations as necessary.
- Other Functions
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Compliance Officer.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related fields.
- Relevant experience in banking compliance, risk management, or corporate governance.
- Strong knowledge of BSP regulations, AML/CTF laws, and banking compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
