Quality Analyst
is responsible to perform activities outlined in the Service Quality Plan and identify auditor / program level improvement opportunities. QA Analyst is required to work closely with the production resources to ensure adherence to the client and process specific requirements. Ensure that regular feedback and error sharing sessions are conducted to avoid repetition of errors and help improve overall performance. Other activities of the quality analyst include – reporting, calibrations, process analysis and attending client and internal meetings.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in US Healthcare, medical coding, medical billing, RCM health plan operations strongly preferred

Position Summary:
The Coding Educator is responsible for administering medical coding training modules according to approved Conifer curricula. They are also responsible for ensuring that trainees are able to successfully apply their learning in an operations environment, audit the work of newly trained employees, and respond to coding questions escalated by the team. They are expected to abide by the Standards of Ethical Coding as set forth by AHIMA.
Responsibilities and Duties
The following responsibilities and duties (50%):
· Creates, designs and performs coding education
· Administers Conifer-approved medical coding training modules as part of the Conifer Coding University.
- Credentials or Certifications appropriate for patient type, ie AHIMA, AAPC
· Successfully train coders for credentials or certifications appropriate for patient type, ie AHIMA, AAPC, with an average training pass rate of =>90% per batch. The pass rate is the number of trainees who passed training divided by the number of overall trainees. This is a measure of the Coding Educator's success as a trainer.
· Educator will stay current with AHA Official Coding and Reporting Guidelines, CMS, and other agency directives for ICD-10-CM, PCS coding and CPT. Attends mandatory coding seminars on an annual basis (IPPS/OPPS, ICD-10-CM and CPT updates). Quarterly review of AHA Coding Clinic. Attends Quarterly Coding Updates and all coding conference calls. (20%)
· Communicates and resolves training issues for appropriate follow-up and resolution (20%)
· Attends Conifer coding educations and maintains coding credentials (10%)
· Other duties as assigned
Functional Area Outcomes and Expectations
Responsible for training new and tenured medical coders, reviewing the work of newly trained medical coders, and responding to coding queries from coding teams, while abiding by all ethical requirements.
