Job Highlights
Hourly Rate: The equivalent of $ USD per hour in the applicant's local currency
Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 20 hours a week
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 5:00 PM–9:00 PM CST (can be flexible an hour or two either direction.)
Work Arrangement: Work from home
Contract: Independent Contractor
Side Note:
Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an "Independent Contractor," the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
Scope:
- Large-scale organization with approximately $2 million annual budget
- Multiple business entities operating under single booster club umbrella
- Complex fundraising operations with significant income and expense volume
- Integration with existing Google-based systems and school district platforms
- Contractor payroll management for substantial workforce
- Replacement of 15-20 hours weekly of volunteer treasurer work
- Coordination across multiple school locations and competitive teams
Responsibilities
- Oversee comprehensive bookkeeping for multiple program divisions including competitive performance teams and educational programs across various school locations
- Manage profit and loss operations for retail merchandise and food service divisions
- Process complex fundraising campaign finances, including inventory management and multi-tiered revenue tracking
- Execute bi-monthly payroll processing for approximately 50 independent contractors
- Perform full-cycle accounting including reconciliations, transaction recording, accounts payable/receivable, and invoicing
- Utilize QuickBooks Online as primary accounting platform for all financial operations
- Streamline time card processing from email submissions into organized Google Sheets tracking systems
- Collaborate seamlessly with educational institution staff through integrated Google platform workflows
Requirements
- QuickBooks certification with demonstrated expertise in QuickBooks Online
- Strong foundation in US accounting principles and best practices
- Expert-level proficiency in Google Suite applications (Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs)
- Proven experience with payroll processing and independent contractor management
- Exceptional numerical accuracy and meticulous attention to detail with financial data
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently navigate multiple accounting platforms and software systems
- Commitment to consistent 20-hour weekly availability with reliable scheduling
- Experience managing complex organizational structures with multiple revenue streams preferred
- Background in nonprofit or educational organization accounting is a plus
