Job Summary
The Principal Bridge Design Engineer will report to the Bridge Director to lead TYLin bridge sector initiatives in the Philippines, driving business development, client engagement, and project execution.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers in the delivery of bridge projects across all design phases—from conceptual to detailed design.
- Oversee structural analysis and design of complex steel and concrete bridges, ensuring technical accuracy, code compliance, and constructability.
- Direct the preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and scopes of work, in alignment with applicable standards and client expectations.
- Develop and manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely delivery within scope and financial targets.
- Supervise and review design work, including calculations by engineers and EITs, and perform or oversee independent design checks and quality control reviews.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts, including CAD production and collaboration with civil and other engineering disciplines for integrated project delivery.
- Serve as a mentor and technical resource, guiding staff development, managing team utilization, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Engage with clients and support business development, contributing to project delivery, client satisfaction, and pursuit of new opportunities.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Masters Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and licensed Professional Engineer (PE or equivalent).
- 18+ years of experience in structural and bridge engineering on complex infrastructure projects exceeding $250M.
- Proven leadership of multidisciplinary technical teams, with a strong track record in quality control, design management, and construction oversight.
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills, with the ability to present technical concepts and strategies clearly across diverse audiences.
- Strong commitment to innovation, sustainability, and delivering high-quality, client-focused solutions with integrity and accountability.

About the Role

- Responsible for major upgrades to current infrastructure components to ensure standardisation and supportability for all areas of responsibility.
- Define and publish the key performance indicators for technology, which will ensure the infrastructure is fit for purpose and continues to be standardised or improved in conjunction with the other responsible IT teams.
- Accountable to the CEVA IT teams to ensure standards are updated and maintained.
- Responsible point of contact for 4th line escalation support within the global infrastructure team, delivering faster problem resolution with the operations teams and will give the ability to identify weak points within the infrastructure that need to be changed to improve system stability and uptime.
- Accountable to the CEVA business to identify infrastructure risks and create plans to ensure security, availability, reliability, and serviceability.
