This highly-trained draftsman will work with architects and engineers to design and create 2D computer models of buildings from blueprints or from scratch. Job Qualifications: ● Must have a minimum of 6-7 years experience as an AutoCAD Drafter and Structural Designer ● Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering ● Strong analytical and mathematical skills: are essential for load calculations and structural analysis. ● Proficiency in CAD software: for creating and modifying designs. ● Excellent problem-solving skills: to address design challenges and construction issues. ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills: for collaborating with various stakeholders. ● Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations . ● Experience in project management: is often required for senior roles. ● Experience in working for an Australian business is preferred but not required ● Familiar with steel and timber framing, and concrete design. ● Background in civil design such as stormwater and driveway design (do not have to be very experienced but is preferred) Duties and Responsibilities: ● Prepare technical drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit. ● Creating detailed designs for buildings ● Load Calculations and Analysis: Determining the loads and stresses that a structure must withstand and ensuring it can safely bear these forces. ● Material Selection: Choosing appropriate building materials based on structural requirements and project specifications. - Tarek will provide ● Collaboration: Working closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers throughout the project lifecycle. ● Documentation: Preparing reports, blueprints, technical drawings, and other construction documents. ● Ensure that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards ● Maintain a library of standard drawing templates ● Update existing drawings as new information becomes available
