Position Summary:
The Associate is responsible for scoping contract workspaces and reviewing their key contract provisions if considered in-scope. Once the in-scope contract workspaces have been identified, certain information of a contract are extracted and transferred into the client's proprietary database. The Associate is also expected to contribute to the bigger contract administration team's processes and perform tasks related to contract lifecycle management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Production (85%)
Scope existing contract workspaces to determine if in-scope or out of scope
Conduct first level abstraction of contracts by studying key contract provisions
Analyze other fields of the scoped contract workspace to identify errors or corrections
Provide support to the contract administration team's processes i.e. contract signature, contract loading, etc. as needed
Perform quality control of colleagues i.e. paralegal and identify commonly occurring errors.
Extract data from the client's proprietary databases to prepare contract summaries for approval;
During the summary preparation and contract data entry, ensure that the data is accurate by verifying information previously entered by procurement representatives
Timely submit the contract summaries for approval
Act as the liaison between the members of the Procurement Department and third party vendors/suppliers to ensure that contracts are properly executed and delivered
Ascertain that the terms and conditions of the contracts are correctly reflected in the client's proprietary databases
Determine the correct linear relationship between contracts
Undertake special projects such as contract audits and database remediation efforts for the client
Track and report the status of contracts during the execution phase and post-execution
Lead special projects as assigned
· Reports & Admin (15%)
Perform Client related administrative tasks such as handover reports
Attend regular Team meetings and operations meeting and client calls as required
Share best practices and updates for the entire team's awareness
Conduct training on the client's proprietary databases as needed
Education & Experience
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's/College degree preferably in Legal Management, Political Science, Business Administration or equivalent
BAR PASSER
At least 1 year of work experience in similar field is required
Experience in contract management or handling legal documents is preferred
