OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable
Supervisor – Asset Protection
, who will ensure the dependability and operational efficiency of the Department's security system. This role involves managing the Unified Security System, overseeing security tools' reliability and maintenance, ensuring effective communication management, and overseeing the Armory and communication equipment. This role will report to the Superintendent, Asset Protection.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Develops detailed security plans to mitigate risks and enhance protection strategies
• Leads incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and addressed
• Audits security systems and protocols regularly to ensure operational efficiency and compliance
• Implements security measures to reduce shrinkage and theft based on guidelines
• Conducts investigations into minor incidents, gathering relevant facts and evidence

Qualifications

The Asset Protection Clerk plays a key role in protecting company assets, minimizing inventory loss, and detecting internal and external theft through surveillance systems and investigative support. This position reports directly to the Merchandise Audit Manager and operates within the Asset Protection Department. The role involves monitoring store locations via CCTV, supporting audits, analyzing suspicious activity, and assisting in loss prevention reporting and compliance.

Surveillance & Monitoring

• Monitor live CCTV footage from multiple locations to identify theft, policy violations, and suspicious activities.
• Escalate notable incidents to the Merchandise Audit Manager and Field Loss Prevention Team.
• Maintain detailed logs of surveillance activities and prepare incident documentation.

Audit & Investigative Support

• Analyze transaction data, store logs, and exception reports to detect fraud or inventory irregularities.
• Assist in internal investigations regarding merchandise loss, fuel theft, and refund abuse.
• Verify POS transactions and fuel pump activity against video surveillance and internal systems.

Reporting & Documentation

• Generate regular reports (daily, weekly, monthly) outlining incident trends and investigation findings.
• Maintain a secure digital archive of video footage, screenshots, and investigative materials.

Operational Compliance

Education and Work Experience

About the role:

Security Operations & Compliance

- Responsible for administrative and operational aspects of HSSED security services within the assigned area.

- Ensure that security service providers fulfill their contractual obligations and meet operational standards.

- Ensure up-to-date security operational records and data protection measures.

Risk Assessment & Incident Management

Who Are We Looking For?
