Job Description
**Job Purpose and Impact**
The Live Production Director will lead and oversee all aspects of poultry live operations, including breeder, hatchery, grow-out, and health management. This role is critical to ensuring optimal bird performance, animal welfare, and operational efficiency. The incumbent will drive strategic execution of production plans, foster strong relationships with growers and suppliers, and ensure alignment with business goals and regulatory standards.
**Key Accountabilities**
+ Lead and manage live production operations to meet volume, quality, and cost targets.
+ Develop and execute strategic plans for breeder, hatchery, and grow-out operations.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with contract growers, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
+ Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and cost optimization.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including processing, supply chain, and technical services to ensure seamless integration across the value chain.
+ Provide leadership and development to production managers and field teams, including hiring, performance management, and succession planning.
+ Stay informed on industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that impact live operations.
+ Drive project management and continuous improvement initiatives across live production systems.
+ Other duties as assign.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Veterinarian, or related field.
+ Minimum of 6 years of experience in poultry live production or related agricultural operations or other livestock or aquaculture sectors (e.g., beef, swine, fish) with transferable expertise in animal health & production.
+ Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex operations.
+ Proficiency in analyzing operational data and financial metrics.
+ Experience in customer-facing or supplier relationship roles.
+ At least 6 years of supervisory experience in live production.
+ Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and cost efficiencies.
