You will lead and inspire a multidisciplinary design team - architects, structural and MEPFS engineers, CAD specialists - to deliver innovative, compliant and sustainable design solutions at every project phase. Key Results Area
Design Strategy & Standards
- Define and maintain SLIM's architectural and engineering design standards, reflecting brand promise, sustainability goals and user experience.
- Adopt and champion BIM workflows, green materials, and modular design approaches to optimize quality and buildability in close coordination with Land Innovation
Project Planning & Design
- Oversee end to end design planning from initial concept and feasibility studies through schematic detailed and permit ready drawings with Consultants.
- Ensure design milestones are met on time and within budget, coordinate handover to construction teams.
Technical Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Collaborate with QA/QC processes and serve as the team lead in peer reviews, code compliance checks and constructability assessments.
Team Leadership and Development
- Manage and mentor the design planning team (Architectural Design Officer, Civil/Structural Lead, MEPFS Systems Engineer, CAD Specialists)
- Identify skills gaps, recruit talent and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous learning.
Budget & Vendor Management
- Develop and manage the design department's budget: negotiate and oversee external consultant and vendor agreements
- Implement cost controls and value engineering initiatives to maintain design deliverables within approved financial parameters
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate closely with Land Planning, Project Management, Marketing, Sales and Operations to align design intent with market requirements and brand identity
- Participate in project steering committees, offering technical insights and ensuring integrated decision-making.
Qualifications
Experience:
12+ years in architectural and engineering design roles within real estate development or large scale mixed use projects
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, MEPFS Engineering or related field. Professional licensure preferred.
Technical Skills:
Expert proficiency in Revit/BIM, AutoCard, structural analysis software, and MEPFS design tools, strong understanding of building codes, sustainability standards (BERDE, LEED) and construction methodologies
