  • Exposure to off-grid solar, rural development, or microfinance is an advantage.

What Will You Do
The Data & Analytics Manager is responsible for shaping and managing the data solutions of the Customer development/Sales Team. Key Responsibilities

  • Chief data custodian of the customer development (CD) team

Job Description

The Data Analytics Manager will lead the organization's data strategy and data analytics operations for PalawanPay. The role exists to unlock the value of data by building customer-centric models, creating insights to support business decisions, and enabling performance tracking across business units. The position leads cross-functional analytics teams spanning Customer Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Data Pipelining, ensuring data integrity, performance, and alignment to revenue and operational goals. This role ensures that data assets are strategically leveraged to drive business growth, enhance customer experience, and support regulatory compliance. It partners with product, operations, marketing, and compliance teams to develop data-driven solutions while maintaining and optimizing the organization's data infrastructure and governance framework.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or related field
  • Master's degree or MBA is a plus

Related Work Experience:

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in data analytics, data science, or business intelligence
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership or head role within financial technology, payments, or banking sectors
  • Experience in leading teams handling customer profiling, performance analytics, and data engineering

Knowledge (knowledgeable in the following) :

  • Deep knowledge of analytics frameworks, data governance, data engineering, and BI tools
  • Understanding of digital financial services, including e-wallets, payments, and compliance requirements (e.g., KYC, AML)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, data lakes, and API integrations

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking
  • Data storytelling and data-driven decision-making
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and cloud ecosystems (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Project management and change leadership
  • Understanding of statistical methods and when to apply them (application of these methods can be left to the sub-sections)
  • Understanding of BI (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, etc) and statistical tools (e.g., R, SPSS, Stata, etc) - Knowledge of data privacy regulations (nice to have, but not essential)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

1. Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement a robust data strategy aligned with PalawanPay's business objectives
  • Champion data as a strategic asset to drive digital adoption, customer engagement, and operational efficiency

2. Customer Profiling

  • Build and operationalize customer-centric data models and APIs to enable revenue-generating opportunities (e.g., credit scoring, targeted marketing, KYC outsourcing)
  • Collaborate with product and marketing teams to develop customer segmentation and personalization strategies

3. Business Intelligence

  • Lead the development of dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics to support product, operations, and leadership decision-making
  • Partner with business units to drive data literacy and performance insights

4. Data Pipelining and Engineering

  • Oversee the design and management of data pipelines and data lakes to ensure seamless data availability and scalability
  • Ensure data integrity, compliance, and security through structured governance practices

5. Team and Capability Building

  • Build and lead a high-performing analytics team composed of data scientists, analysts, and engineers
  • Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous learning 6. Governance and Risk Management
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and data privacy requirements (e.g., Data Privacy Act, BSP regulations)
  • Lead initiatives on data quality management and data lifecycle governance
