About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Executive to manage and oversee all financial and accounting processes related to our key retail partners—Watsons, Mercury Drug, Robinsons etc. This role involves direct coordination between internal teams (sales, logistics, inventory) and external retail partners to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Reconciliation & Financial Transactions:

  • Oversee daily and monthly reconciliation of sales, deductions, chargebacks, and remittances from Watsons and Mercury Drug.
  • Validate and process debit/credit memos and ensure proper documentation and alignment with purchase orders, delivery receipts, and invoices.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging specific to Watsons and Mercury, and coordinate with sales and collection teams for timely settlement.

Billing & Invoicing:

  • Ensure timely and accurate generation of sales invoices and billing documents in accordance with the terms of Watsons and Mercury Drug.
  • Handle EDI (electronic data interchange) uploads, portal transactions, and invoice submissions as per partner guidelines.
  • Reconcile any pricing discrepancies, chargebacks, or trade discounts claimed by partners.

Coordination with Distribution Operations:

  • Collaborate closely with the sales, supply chain, and warehouse teams to ensure alignment between delivery records, sales entries, and inventory movement.
  • Verify and cross-check delivery confirmations, proof of delivery (POD), and goods return notes (GRN).

Reporting & Compliance:

  • Prepare monthly reports on account performance, outstanding balances, and discrepancy resolution for Watsons and Mercury Drug.
  • Assist in audits and ensure documentation is compliant with internal controls and external regulatory standards (e.g., BIR).
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to trade partners.

Team Supervision:

  • Supervise and support junior accounting staff involved in billing, receivables, and documentation.
  • Provide training and monitor performance related to key account financial processing.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Finance
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a distribution, FMCG, or pharmaceutical setting
  • Direct experience handling Watsons and/or Mercury Drug accounts is highly preferred
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Familiar with trade promotions, sales deductions, and retail partner billing policies

Job Summary The Accounting Officer plays a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity and accuracy of the manufacturing company's financial records. Key Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable
Accounting Executive
to join an established family office regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). In this role, you will support the Chairman's private interests and investments while working closely with the Accounting Manager based in Johor Bahru. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in accounting and a proactive approach to ensuring accurate financial operations, compliance, and reporting across a diverse investment portfolio.

9:00 am to 6:00 pm Singapore time / PH time

What you'll do

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of investment portfolios and oversee all related accounting entries.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the family office and related entities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate consolidation of accounts, including investment vehicles, trusts, and holding companies.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process and monitor payments, receipts, and intercompany transactions.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and investment accounts.
  • Liaise with Fund Managers, Bankers and System Administrators to resolve discrepancies.

Investment & Asset Administration

  • Track and record investment activities, including equities, real estate, private equity, and alternative assets.
  • Maintain accurate records of asset valuations, income, and distributions.
  • Assist with due diligence and documentation for new investments.

Process Improvement & Controls

  • Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Support the development and maintenance of internal controls and accounting policies.

Support to Family Office Operations

  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reports to management and principals.
  • Assist with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and treasury functions.
  • Coordinate with Singapore HQ and other stakeholders as required.

What You Bring

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a family office, private wealth, or investment environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office Suite.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Good spoken and written English and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and as part of a small team.
