The Nursing Clinical Coordinator oversees the planning, coordination, and supervision of all clinical practicum activities of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. The position ensures that students acquire the required clinical competencies through effective hospital and community-based training, in accordance with CHED, DOH, and institutional policies. The Clinical Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the College and its partner health institutions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Clinical Training Management
- Plan, organize, and coordinate clinical rotations, duty schedules, and hospital/community assignments of nursing students.
- Ensure alignment of clinical experiences with the learning outcomes of corresponding theoretical courses.
- Supervise the implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and evaluation systems.
- Monitor and ensure student compliance with clinical requirements (e.g., uniforms, immunizations, health clearance, training records).
B. Coordination with Partner Institutions
- Maintain regular communication and coordination with affiliated hospitals, community health centers, and other clinical partners.
- Facilitate the renewal of Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) with partner institutions, in coordination with the Dean and VPAA.
- Ensure that clinical affiliation standards and agreements comply with CHED, DOH, and institutional guidelines.
C. Faculty and Clinical Instructor Supervision
- Coordinate and supervise clinical instructors assigned to hospital and community duty rotations.
- Conduct orientation and monitoring of faculty performance during clinical supervision.
- Recommend assignments, workload, and schedules of clinical instructors in consultation with the Program Chair and Dean.
D. Student Support and Evaluation
- Supervise student performance in clinical practice, ensuring adherence to nursing ethics and professional standards.
- Address clinical issues, incidents, and student concerns in coordination with the Program Chair and Dean.
- Consolidate clinical grades, evaluation forms, and feedback from clinical instructors and preceptors.
E. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of student rotations, duty hours, and evaluations.
- Prepare reports and documentation required by CHED, DOH, and accrediting bodies (e.g., PAASCU, ALCUCOA).
- Assist in the preparation of program audits, inspections, and compliance submissions.
F. Institutional Participation
- Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum reviews, and quality assurance activities.
- Assist in research, extension, and community health projects of the College.
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Dean or Program Chair.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Must be a Registered Nurse.
- Must hold at least a Master's Degree in Nursing (MAN, MSN, or equivalent) or currently pursuing one.
Experience:
- At least 1–3 years of clinical and/or teaching experience in a recognized hospital or nursing school.
- Preferably with experience in clinical coordination or hospital affiliation management.

Licensure:
