TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders for stamping, molding, and assembly, ensuring optimal quality and output. They are experts in tooling, machining, and assembly techniques, driving optimization and standardization of manufacturing processes. These teams enable TE plants to meet TEOA requirements, deploy COEs and BDPs, and advise on tool/machine improvements. They design and develop manufacturing processes and automation for new products and existing product optimization. They also support Product Development in selecting optimal tools and manufacturing concepts (considering quantity, quality, and location), act as the interface between engineering and production for manufacturability, and support R&D teams in producing samples and prototypes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for Die Design and Development, and Processes to support new product development
- Provide technical advice to product design through stamping engineering evaluation. Conduct evaluations for DFM
- Work with the process development engineer to complete new tooling conditioning and mass production
- Prepare the WI and PFMEA for new products, and discuss with QE (Quality Engineers) and Production to fix the WI and PFMEA
- Update the WI and PFMEA according to the request of customer audit or quality improvement, or EC, etc.
- WI training is in operation in order to standardize the machine operation or process
- Responsible for manufacturing process improvement, production efficiency, and quality improvement
- Modify the tooling according to the request of the customer or quality improvement or EC, or efficiency improvement, etc
- Complete and publish the revised tooling drawing in order to meet EC and the improvement request
- Cooperate with QE and Production to revise related documents (WI & PFMEA, etc.) for customer audit
- Cooperate with QE and Production to find the root cause and correct action for customer complaints in order to satisfy the customer
- Study or introduce new technologies into process designs to improve yield and efficiency
- Design, EC, and fabrication of single and progressive dies
- Repair and maintenance of dies
- Trial, adjustment, and evaluation of dies
- Operate the machine and press machines
- DFM, EC, Quality meeting with customers
- Design and fabrication of jigs

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in mechanical engineering or related courses
- With 5 years' engineering design-related work experience

- Know five quality tools like FMEA, SPC, APQP
