What you'll be doing

1. Monitoring and optimising the performance of solar panels, inverters, and other critical components of the solar plant
2. Conducting regular inspections, testing, and maintenance of the solar plant's electrical and mechanical systems
3. Identifying and troubleshooting any issues or malfunctions, and implementing appropriate corrective measures
4. Analysing energy production data and providing recommendations for improving overall efficiency
5. Liaising with the operations team and external stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and communication
6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
7. Providing technical support and training to the plant's operational staff

What we're looking for

1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Civil Engineering or a related field
2. Minimum 2 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of solar power generation facilities
3. Thorough understanding of solar power systems, including photovoltaic technology, power electronics, and grid integration
4. Proficiency in analysing and interpreting technical data, as well as developing and implementing maintenance strategies
5. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Creates and reviews Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal and Change Orders.

Provides technical support to Project Managers.

Develops and maintains project cost/change controls, and project budget and accounting records.

Performs change order estimating and assists the Project Manager in change order negotiations.

Coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices, and submittals.

Assists in managing and reviewing the progress of contractors' construction schedules.

Reviews weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes.

Job Summary
The Document Controller is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining all project-related documentation for the solar construction project. This role ensures that documents are properly filed, updated, and accessible to authorized personnel, while maintaining compliance with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines. The position plays a key role in supporting project teams by ensuring timely and accurate flow of information.

Key Responsibilities
Document Management

• Establish and maintain a systematic filing system (electronic and hard copy) for project documents
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, drawings, submittals, RFIs, and reports
• Ensure proper version control of all documents and prevent use of obsolete files

Coordination & Distribution

• Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders according to project protocols
• Track the status of submitted documents and follow up on pending approvals
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers regarding documentation requirements

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure documentation processes comply with company and client requirements
• Support project audits by providing timely and accurate document records
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information

Support Functions

• Assist project management in preparing reports, logs, and documentation trackers
• Provide administrative support to the project team as required
• Support handover documentation at project completion

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• At least 2–5 years of experience as a Document Controller in construction, preferably in solar, renewable energy, or large-scale infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of document control processes, quality management systems, and ISO standards
