Job Summary

The Pharmacist ensures the safe and effective dispensing of medicines and pharmaceutical products in a diagnostic laboratory setting under the PhilHealth YAKAP Program. This role includes supervising the storage and distribution of drugs, monitoring compliance with DOH/FDA and PhilHealth standards, counseling patients on medication use, and supporting the delivery of quality healthcare services within the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Dispensing and Medication Counseling

  • Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications under the PhilHealth YAKAP Program.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with program guidelines.
  • Provide patient education on correct drug usage, dosage, side effects, and adherence.

B. Regulatory Compliance and Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with DOH, FDA, and PhilHealth YAKAP regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, controlled substances, and inventory.
  • Prepare and submit reports required by regulatory agencies and PhilHealth.

E. Patient Safety and Confidentiality

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist (Registered with PRC).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.

Requirements
Experience Requirements
