**Job Description**:
The Company Nurse renders basic nursing intervention and assists the Health Specialist in initiating and implementing health programs and learning sessions. He/She serves as the primary first aider to all employees during emergency related cases and to ensure immediate relief of pain and anguish to employees who encounter accidents within Pilmico Foods Corporation compound.

**Employees Health**
- Provides assistance on emergency care of first aid to employees of the plant when necessary during his/her shift.
- Provides basic treatment and procedures like wound dressing, vital signs, medicine administration, etc.during his/her shift.
- Assists the Health Specialist in maintaining and updating employees' health records.
- Assists the Health Specialist in conducting lectures and programs on health and family planning, responsible parenthood and family welfare.
- Assists the Health Specialist in coordination with Team Leaders, schedules annual physical and dental examination of employees and monitors progress of employees in relation to the APE result.
- Facilitates pre-employment medical examination. Endorses PEME results to Company Physician for final evaluation.
- Verifies Philhealth documents (CSF and Certification of Remittances) for employees who are admitted in the hospital.
- Assists Health Specialist on evaluating and filing the medical certificates and accident reports of employees.
- Assists in Reviewing all medicine and hospitalization payments and reimbursement of employees and forwards to HR for processing of payments.
- Conducts visitation of partners who are hospitalized.
- Assists Company Doctor in the performance of his/her duty. Assists in the fitness and health evaluation of personnel.
- Assists the Health Specialist in the implementation of the vaccination program of the Company which includes dependents of personnel.
- Monitors and maintains company medicines and clinic supplies.
- Assists the Health Specialist in proposing and implementing activities/programs related to occupational health and wellness of the company.
- Assists the Health Specialist in monitoring health conditions of employees performing critical work assignments and in conducting work related risk assessments with health and safety personnel.
- Assists the Health Specialist in conducting Random Drug tests on identified regular employees and contractor employees as well.
- Sits as a member of the Safety and Health Committee of the company.
- Conducts daily roving during his/her shift and submits weekly reports to Health Specialist.

**Others**
- Assists the Health Specialist in preparing for health and safety reports as per required by Department of Labor and Employment and other related government agencies.
- Assists the Health Specialist in the documentation and effective implementation of ISO/HACCP/5S/GMP procedures and guidelines concerning health.
- Participates in programs involving improvements and innovations in areas of quality, efficiency, proficiency, sanitation, food safety, environment, waste reduction, sustainability, social responsibility and all other activities of the Company.
- Assists the Health Specialist in checking compliance of contractor employees on their annual physical examination.

**Job Description**:
The Veterinary Service & Training Specialist is responsible for providing technical support to Sales and Farm customers in terms of disease control and swine management to help maintain customers and generate sales.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
**Technical Support to Farm Segment**
**A. Prospecting Phase**
1. Provides assistance to Territory Business Manager for large farm and other Territory
Business Managers in assessing the health status of animals of a potential farm customer.
2. Conducts profiling based on data gathered from actual farm performance parameters of
potential farm customers and compare it with the existing and acceptable performance
standards.
3. Analyzes and assess the data gathered on the herd/flock health status to identify the
veterinary needs of the prospect farm customer.
4. Makes recommendations based on the identified needs of the potential customer.
5. Works with the Territory Business Manager for large farm and other Territory Business
Managers in preparing a plan of engagement to prospect customer based on the data
gathered.
6. Assists the Sales team during product presentation and product launching.

**B. Trial Phase**
7. Uses the data gathered as input when doing feeding trials in relation to diseases or specific needs identified in particular farm.
8. Works with the Nutrition Services & Training Specialist in the design, cascade and
implementation of trial protocols when doing feeding trials.
9. Creates reports and status updates on current feeding trials.

**C. Maintenance Phase**
10. Assists in the identification of strategies and tactics on how to develop and maintain a
farm account.
11. Herd health status monitoring of farm customers which covers the general health
status of the farm, feed performance, disease occurrence and doing necropsies as an aid in determining cause of diseases and mortalities.
12. Prepares a report on status of farm customer after farm visits can be general or based on specific cases/complains or situations.
13. Conducts training and seminars for farm personnel or technicians on swine management.
14. Offers solutions regarding farms’ health-related concerns, and if necessary recommend vaccination programs and medication regimens.
15. Helps in the diagnosis of a disease by submitting sample specimens to a regional/national animal disease diagnostic laboratory as necessary.

**Technical Support to Distribution Market Segment**
16. Provides technical assistance to Agri-Centers’ customers in solving animal health-related issues, recommend appropriate vaccination and medication programs.
17. Conducts training & seminars on swine/poultry diseases and management which can include current customers, prospect customers and Animal Production Specialists.
18. Assists Sales team during product launch to Agri-centers and distributors.

**Technical Training to Sales Team**
19. Equip the Sales team with basic knowledge and technical know how on swine / poultry
management through training.
20. Conduct assessment of Territory Business Managers and APS in order to identify their
training needs on technical competencies at least once a year.21. Formulate / design and execute training programs for TBMs based on the assessment and
identified training needs.
22. Do re-evaluation by doing annual assessment to determine the effectiveness of the
training programs conducted to further address if there are still deficiencies.

**Other Duties**
23. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
