Responsible for supervising production processing of woodworking (machinery, veneering, and assembly) section; its scheduling and monitoring of production items to meet production schedules on time with the right quality and at the least possible cost.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for planning materials/requirements to ensure continuous flow of work in the production line.
- Oversee new prototype development of customers – samples.
- Responsible for monitoring work in process, parts and components scheduled for shipment.
- Conducts process review and checks specifications of each item.
- Develop and recommend systems and procedures that would ensure efficient flow of items.
- Responsible for organizing the first production run on new items to minimize production delays due to quality problems.
- Coordinates the activities of the production section to ensure timely completion of desired volume.
- Responsible for establishing standard man-hours and material requirements for each production operation.
QUALIFICATION:
- Preferably a graduate of any engineering course;
- College level with substantial experience relevant to solid wood and veneered furniture;
- Minimum three years working experience in furniture production or manufacturing industry is an advantage;
- Can comprehend full-size layouts/ CAD drawings;
- Has sense of urgency;
