Job Summary:
The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising daily construction activities on-site, ensuring that all works are carried out according to approved plans, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The role involves coordination with subcontractors, suppliers, and project management to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at the site.
- Ensure works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
- Coordinate with Project Manager, subcontractors, foremen, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with safety requirements.
- Track project progress, manpower, equipment, and material usage.
- Prepare daily/weekly site reports and other required documentation.
- Resolve site-related technical and operational issues in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Implement Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards at all times.
- Support testing, commissioning, and final project handover.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Licensed Civil Engineer (preferred).
- At least 2–5 years of experience in site supervision or construction.
- Experience in water pipelaying and infrastructure projects is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing site conditions.
