We are looking for a Safety Officer who's willing to be assigned in Mabalacat Pampanga.
The Safety Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of personnel, equipment, and the environment at the project site. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Safety Officer is responsible for implementing and enforcing safety policies, procedures, and regulations to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards. They collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and compliance with safety standards and best practices.
DUTY (Critical/key obligation to perform)
SAFETY POLICY IMPLEMENTATION:
· Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
· Develop and communicate site-specific safety plans, protocols, and emergency procedures to project teams, subcontractors, and personnel.
SAFETY INSPECTION AND AUDITS:
· Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and safety violations.
· Prepare inspection reports, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks and improve safety performance.
SAFETY TRAINING AND EDUCATION:
· Provide safety training, orientation, and awareness programs for project personnel, subcontractors, and new hires.
· Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and educational sessions to promote safety awareness and best practices on site.
INCIDENT INVESTIGATION AND REPORTING:
· Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes, contributing factors, and lessons learned.
· Prepare incident reports, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve safety performance.
SAFETY COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION:
· Communicate safety policies, procedures, and initiatives to project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to promote understanding and compliance.
· Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety requirements into project planning, scheduling, and execution.
SAFETY COMPLIANCE MONITORING:
· Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations, standards, and best practices by conducting site inspections and audits.
· Review and evaluate subcontractor safety programs, practices, and performance to ensure alignment with project safety requirements.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND PREPAREDNESS:
· Coordinate emergency response activities and drills to ensure preparedness for potential emergencies, such as fires, accidents, or natural disasters.
· Establish communication protocols, evacuation procedures, and emergency response plans to minimize risks and protect personnel.
PROFILE OF JOB / POSITION HOLDER
EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT:
· Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience in occupational safety may be considered in lieu of a degree.
CERTIFICATIONS:
· Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., OSHA 30-hour General Industry) is highly desirable.
EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial setting.
· Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate safety policies, procedures, and training materials.

Administrative & Coordination
