Collaborates with the planning function on allocated project and contributes, as required. Verifies projects/ tenders to ensure alignment to define planning processes; ensure projects/ tenders are appropriately planned, scheduled and monitored.
Supports Project Management function in the delivery of the project, as required, ensuring they are delivered on time and profitably. Responsible for the planning of medium complexity projects, a portfolio of smaller projects or sections of larger projects.
THE ROLE
- Leads the application of specific planning/scheduling methods, techniques, and tools
- Develops the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and aligns other breakdown structures accordingly
- Develops the WBS dictionary in support of the Baseline Book
- Advises on complex requirements and communicates analysis and corrective measures effectively
- Plays a key role in multidisciplinary teams and leads in creating plans or analyzing trends using numerical and statistical techniques
- Leads and manages a team of professionals delivering planning/schedule management services, including staff development
- Produces and controls cost- and resource-loaded baseline and current schedules, utilizing approved WBS and techniques
- Ensures adherence to scheduling and project control standards across the project
- Oversees and ensures that schedules are updated within agreed timeframes
- Supports cost control, risk, and change management teams where appropriate
- Supports the production of monthly reports through the provision of intelligent information and analysis
