The Mechanical Maintenance Specialist is responsible for diagnosing complex mechanical issues to ensure that all the heavy equipment, trucking, forward trucking and other equipment in LBE operates smoothly and safely and ensures the equipment's availability. The incumbent adheres mechanical maintenance schedules, conducts advanced and complex electrical troubleshooting and repair programs, and collaborates with technicians in conducting these troubleshooting, repair and maintenance.

- Apply Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles to determine the most critical equipment and the appropriate maintenance strategies for each equipment.
- Conduct investigations when equipment failures occur to identify the underlying causes and implement corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of similar issues.
- Implement a comprehensive asset health management program that includes regular inspections, testing, and monitoring of equipment, parts and components, and prepare the Evaluate Equipment Report (EER) for components to be replaced
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Engineers and Supervisors in monitoring of mechanical spare parts inventory and ensuring that critical components are readily available.
