I.  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

A In coordination with the company assigned Safety Officers and the EHS-related personnel, create, formulate, implement, and monitor the company's Occupational Safety and Health Programs and other safety regulations prescribed and mandated by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and its concerned attached agencies.

B Regularly review the safety and health programs of the company, initiate, and recommends changes or modifications if warranted.

C.    Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the factory clinic for any incident or accident in order to immediately attend to any medical requirement/treatment of every employee should the need arises.

D.    Maintain a good and acceptable inventory of medicines and other medical supplies and accessories in the clinic.

E Extend first-aid treatment or procedures to injured employees.

F Provide medical services and dispense over-the-counter medicines or medicines prescribed by doctors or medical practitioner accredited by the company.

G.    Perform or supervise medical laboratory testing to determine the physical fitness of the employees and recommends actions as the case may be to assure employees medical safety and avoid contagious disease from being transmitted.

H.    Initiate formal and informal awareness on areas related to Occupational Safety and Health.

I Perform health counseling to employees.

J Maintain, update, and monitor medical cards/reports of each employee and history of their sickness and medical treatments, in strict confidentiality.

K Facilitate HMO enrollment and/or renewal of all employees.

L Prepare and generate occupational safety and health reports and submit to Top Management and/or government agencies.

II. SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

A Conduct home or hospital visits and follow through on employees who are injured and/or prolong sick leave.

B Make available on any contingency or emergency requirement both in the factory clinic or to send injured or sick employees to the hospital for assessment and treatment.

C.    See to it that the ambulance, when use to transport injured or sick employees, is complete with medical accessories and equipment.

D.    Provide administrative support to various functions of the Human Resources & General Affairs Department.

III. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

A Registered Nurse

B Have at least three (3) years related work experience

C.    Previous nursing experience in an industrial or corporate setting, an advantage but not required

D.    With OHNAP Training Certificate

E EPA returnees, an advantage

F With good English verbal communication skills and preferably can speak Japanese

G.    Knowledgeable in giving first-aid treatment

H.    Familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Job Objective / Purpose:

The Dialysis Technician shall assist the Hemodialysis Team in the dialysis operations, minimizing little to no delays. S/he will maintain the full functioning of reverse osmosis (RO) system, reprocessing machine and dialysis machines.

This role will be hired under Global Reliance Renal Care, Inc. (GRRI) - a subsidiary of RelianceUnited.

Background and Qualifications:

• At least a high school graduate, or is a vocational graduate, or a college graduate
• He/She shall have a certificate of training as a dialysis technician by a structured training program for three (3) months or more if necessary.
• It is advantageous if he/she has an updated certificate of training in Basic Life Support (BLS) conducted by a DOH accredited provider
• Experience is a Dialysis Technician is an advantage

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Primes or prepares dialyzers and dialysis bath according to formula
• Prepares, rinses, disinfects dialysis machines prior to treatment
• Calibrates reprocessing machines at the start of the day prior to use
• Collects all used dialyzers in the dialysis area in accordance with techniques in the prevention and control of spillage and contamination
• Performs reprocessing of used dialyzers
• Assesses reprocessed dialyzers for acceptability
• Labels all used dialyzers properly
• Records dialyzer re-use number in Hemodialysis flow sheet
• Stores reprocessed dialyzers in an orderly manner
• Conducts preventive maintenance of Hemodialysis machines, machine repairs and monitoring of machine-related problems
• Assist in all emergency operational procedures and in performing basic CPR measures during cardiac and/or pulmonary arrest.
• Ensure cleanliness of hemodialysis unit at all times.
• Replenish amenities and maintain a good arrangement of stocks.
• Enforces company set policies and perform tasks as may be delegated from time to time.
• Assumed the role of Pollution Control Officer or Safety Officer
