Job Duties and Responsibilities

Design and Trend Research:

• Conduct regular research and collaborate with the Creative Design Head and Merchandise Manager to identify upcoming fashion trends and directions.

• Translate trends into commercially viable designs that align with the brand identity, target market, pricing strategy, and customer preferences.
• Develop design concepts and prepare technical worksheets for prototypes.
• Participate in sample development and line planning meetings.

Styling and Visual Merchandising:

• Style and dress models for e-commerce photoshoots, social media content, lifestyle campaigns, product shoots, and other events.
• Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to ensure product styling aligns with brand aesthetics across all channels.
• Conduct store visits with the merchandising team to gather customer feedback, assess product performance, and analyze competitor offerings.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Assist the Creative Design Head and Merchandise Manager during product presentations
• Effectively communicate design decisions and rationale to internal teams.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain departmental files, including specification sheets, artwork, and samples.
• Travel and attend trade shows to identify potential new design inspirations for future seasons.

Qualifications:

Fashion Designer Job Responsibilities:

• Study fashion trends and anticipate designs that will appeal to consumers.
• Decide on a theme for a collection.
• Knowledge of computer-aided design programs (CAD) to create designs. Visit manufacturers or trade shows to get fabric samples. Select fabrics, embellishments, colors, or style for each garment or accessory. Work with other designers or team members to create a prototype design.
• Present design ideas to the creative director or showcase them in fashion or trade shows.
• Market designs to clothing retailers or directly to consumers.
• Oversee the final production of their designs. Confer with sales and management executives or with clients in order to discuss design ideas.
• Direct and coordinate workers involved in drawing and cutting patterns and constructing samples or finished garments. Identify target markets for designs, looking at different factors.
• Provide sample garments to agents and sales representatives, and arrange for showings of sample garments at sales meetings or fashion shows.
• Attend fashion shows and review garment magazines and manuals in order to gather information about fashion trends and consumer preferences.
• Examine sample garments on and off models; then modify designs to achieve desired effects.
• Select materials and production techniques to be used for products.
• Sketch rough and detailed drawings of apparel or accessories, and write specifications such as color schemes, construction, material types, and accessory requirements.
• Adapt other designers' ideas for the mass market. Collaborate with other designers to coordinate special products and designs.

Fashion Designer Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
• Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply.
• At least 1 year of experience as Fashion Designer managing either ladies' or men's apparel collections.
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.)

Job Summary:

The Technical Designer ensures that creative concepts are translated into precise, production-ready garments. This role bridges design and production, providing the technical expertise needed to execute collections with accuracy, quality, and efficiency. The Technical Designer is responsible for creating detailed specifications, maintaining design integrity, and supporting smooth handover from concept to final product.

1. Technical Translation
   : Convert creative sketches into accurate technical flats that capture design intent and construction details.
2. Tech Pack Development
   : Create and maintain comprehensive tech packs, including measurements, materials, trims, sundries, hangtag specs, and construction details.
3. Pattern & Fit Collaboration
   : Partner with patternmakers to ensure garments maintain design integrity while being manufacturable at scale.
4. Construction Approvals
   : Approve stitching, finishing, and trim applications, ensuring all technical aspects meet brand standards.
5. Sampling & Fit Resolution
   : Collaborate with the sampling coordinator to address fit and construction issues during proto and sample development.
6. Library Management
   : Maintain and update a specification library, integrating learnings from production feedback to continuously improve standards.
7. Cross-Functional Support
   : Provide technical expertise to design, merchandising, and production teams for alignment across product development stages.
