Role DescriptionThis is a full-time remote (work from home) role for an Experienced Software QA Tester. Responsibilities will be for all existing and future web solutions, mobile apps and .NET websites. The Software QA Tester will be responsible for executing tests, ensuring software quality, and performing quality assurance tasks. ROLE SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance responsibilities include performing quality tests and validating test cases before products, software and systems are shipped to consumers. Ultimately, you will work with a small team to ensure our products meet our organization's quality standards.
JOB SCOPE:
- Collaborate with other business units during the product design stage by providing feedback on the software's functions and usability based on business requirements.
- Create and execute detailed manual and automated test scripts based on software requirements and functionality.
- Perform testing based on different test methods as needed (e.g. Installation Testing, Compatibility Testing, Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Stress Testing, etc.).
- Provide testing support during the User Acceptance stage.
- Provide detailed test results and work with developers to address any issues or possible improvements.
- Identify testing tools to be leveraged by the organization.
- Identify and remedy defects within the production design process.
- Recommend, implement and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved.
- Work with the QA team to innovate and streamline QA processes in line with the team's expansion.
- Compile and analyze statistical data.
- Ensure that user expectations are met during the testing process.
- Draft quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Investigate customer complaints and product issues.
- Actively participate in an agile project development team - including all Sprint activities (Planning, Standups, Retros, etc)
- Write and execute functional and regression tests for our products.
- Find and write good bug reports.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related courses.
- At least1-2 years of experience in Quality Assurance or similar role.
- Familiar in working in an Agile development / Rapid Application Development (RAD) environment.
- Experienced in using Pivotal Tracker or any similar tools for bug reporting / tracking.
- Experienced with web application & mobile application testing.
- Experienced in API testing using Postman or any similar tools.
- Experienced in JSON document database testing.
- Experienced in Agile Methodology.
- Good written and communication skills.
- Experience in quality inspection, auditing and testing.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of QA databases and applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
