The Content Moderator plays a key role in maintaining a safe and compliant online environment by reviewing and enforcing content policies. This position involves monitoring user-generated content, identifying potential policy violations, and ensuring adherence to platform guidelines. The Content Moderator helps uphold online safety standards by accurately assessing flagged content, applying moderation decisions consistently, and escalating complex cases when necessary.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and moderate user-generated content to ensure compliance with platform policies and guidelines.
  • Identify and report content that violates safety standards, community guidelines, or legal requirements.
  • Follow established moderation procedures to maintain consistency in enforcement.
  • Meet accuracy and productivity targets while making fair and objective moderation decisions.
  • Escalate complex cases to senior moderators or policy teams when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy when handling sensitive content and user data.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Preferred: 6 months-1 year of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or related trust and safety fields.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review content that may include hate speech, fraud or misinformation/disinformation.
  • Basic understanding of content moderation tools, workflows, and community guidelines.
  • Awareness of cultural differences and their impact on online communities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to document moderation decisions clearly.

**ARE YOU A FIT?**
+ Bachelor's degree in marketing, business studies, communications, journalism, and media studies.
+ 1-2 years of professional experience in Digital and Social Media.
+ Extensive knowledge of various Social Media platforms, including X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
+ Proficiency in utilizing social media listening tools such as Social Studio, Socialbakers, Sprinklr, TalkWalker, Google Analytics, or similar platforms.
+ Demonstrated expertise in written communication with 3-5 years of experience in crafting content and copywriting for diverse formats, including community groups, FAQs, social media, communications, and other written materials.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large volumes of data, extract meaningful insights, and effectively communicate findings through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and the creation of comprehensive dashboards, is an advantage.
+ Experience in data visualization tools such as Power BI or similar, coupled with exceptional presentation skills, is highly desirable.
+ Proficient user of MS Word and PowerPoint for creating professional documents and presentations.
+ Exceptional data analysis and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of successfully tackling analytical tasks.
+ Excellent command of the English language at an advanced level.
+ Published works or sample written work available to showcase exceptional writing skills.
