Job Description

About Penbrothers

Penbrothers is an HR & remote talent management partner and one of the fastest growing companies in the Philippines. We provide talented Filipinos with global opportunities in high-growth startups and dynamic companies, from the comfort of their own homes.

About the Role

The
Strategic HR Business Partner- Client Facing
is a strategic and client-oriented HR personnel who partners directly with business leaders and external stakeholders to deliver people strategies that drive organizational success. Unlike traditional HRBP roles that are internally focused, this position requires strong client-facing capabilities, real-time communication skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in dynamic environments.

This role is critical in balancing business needs with people strategy—advising leadership, resolving HR challenges, and optimizing processes to create a high-performing, engaged, and future-ready workforce.

What you'll do

Client-Facing HR Partnership

  • Act as the primary HR point of contact for client stakeholders, building trusted partnerships to understand business priorities and provide tailored HR solutions.
  • Lead regular client meetings (weekly/bi-weekly) to discuss people-related strategies, workforce trends, and employee relations.
  • Represent the organization in real-time client conversations, demonstrating communication clarity, precision, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Partner with internal account managers and client leaders to address workforce challenges, align HR strategies, and support long-term business growth.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure client and internal HR practices are aligned with Philippine labor laws and compliance standards.
  • Oversee case management (e.g., NTEs, performance improvement plans, progressive discipline).
  • Track and present HR metrics (attrition, headcount, performance trends) during client and leadership reviews.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and scalability.

Coaching and Consulting Leadership

  • Provide strategic HR advice to both internal leaders and client partners, enabling them to manage people issues effectively.
  • Guide managers in handling complex HR matters, including performance management, employee relations, and rewards.
  • Deliver expertise in organizational development, change management, and employee engagement initiatives tailored to client needs.

Strategic Workforce Planning

  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to forecast workforce needs, ensuring the right talent strategy is in place.
  • Identify reskilling and upskilling needs; partner with L&D to design and deploy training aligned with client and business objectives.
  • Support succession planning and leadership pipeline development across key client accounts.

Building a Competitive Organization

  • Drive performance management practices with both internal and client leadership, focusing on coaching, mentoring, and career progression.
  • Optimize organizational structures and people strategies to support client business outcomes.
  • Advise on compensation, benefits, and recognition programs to attract and retain talent.

Championing Culture & Employee Experience

  • Partner with client leaders to design and implement culture-building initiatives that promote inclusion, engagement, and retention.
  • Support employee wellness, DEI strategies, and conflict resolution in collaboration with both internal and client stakeholders.
  • Drive programs that improve morale, enhance employee satisfaction, and reduce unwanted turnover.

Job Requirements

What You Bring

  • Preferably with 5 years+ experience as an HR Business Partner, with at least 2–3 years in a client-facing or consulting capacity (e.g., professional services, shared services, HR consulting, or client-partnering roles outside of purely transactional BPO HR).
  • Proven ability to lead conversations with senior client stakeholders, resolve issues in real time, and present HR recommendations with clarity and confidence.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and compliance, with experience advising leadership on employee relations and risk management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Behavioral Science, or a related field (Master's or HR certification is a plus).
  • Advanced communication skills (written and verbal), able to distill complex HR issues into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to align HR strategy with client and organizational objectives.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms, MS Office, and Google Workspace; strong data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced, dynamic, and client-driven environments where adaptability is critical.
  • Professional maturity, discretion, and cultural sensitivity in handling confidential matters.
  • Amenable to hybrid work setup (Makati and/or Mandaluyong offices) and a flexible schedule to accommodate client meetings.

Don't meet every single requirement? At Penbrothers we are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but you don't feel 100% aligned with the qualifications, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may just be the right fit for this or other roles.
