About the Role


As a DPU Teller, you will be responsible for receiving deposits from clients and cash transfers from/to branches. The Deposit / Pick-up Teller also acts as the Team Leader of the Armored Car Team.


How you'll contribute

  • Prepare the list of DPU clients’ requests for bills and coins. Prepare the corresponding cash tickets for receipt of the DPU clients.
  • Performs verification depending on the agreed MOA with the client, can be piece count, bundle count or count of sealed deposits in the presence of the depositor or its authorized representative.
  • Perform actual piece-count of cash in the presence of the depositor or his authorized representative. Verify genuineness of cash for deposit and completeness of the material particulars of checks for deposit. Check if the cash and check deposits are properly listed on the deposit slip. Notify the depositor or his authorized representative immediately regarding any alteration/ discrepancy/exception noted during the verification. Ensure that the actual amount of deposit items corresponds to the amount indicated on the deposit slip.
  • Witness the following procedures that will be performed by the depositor or his authorized representative: Indicate the date of deposit and the list of cash and check items to be deposited. Require the depositor or his authorized representative to sign in full on the DPU-Teller’s logbook. Ensure that there is no sharing of duffle bag.
  • Perform bundle counting of cash deposits per denomination in the presence of the depositor or his authorized representative. Ensure that the check deposits are listed on a separate deposit slip, likewise in triplicate copies. If the space of the deposit slip will not suffice, use another deposit slip indicating the name of the bank, check number and amount then attach both deposit slips together.
  • Acknowledge receipt of the cash for “Change Funds” of DPU clients by signing on the “Received by” portion of the cash ticket. Place the cash for “Change Funds” inside the duffel bag, put the inverted master padlock, seal it and request the CMU Officer / BSO to sign on the sealer.
  • Acknowledge receipt of the “Countersign Pins” (for cash hubs only) and distribute it to the armored car crew. Place the duffel bags containing cash inside the armored car vault then lock it. During the actual deposit pick-up services, ensure that the trip ticket will not be seen by the armored car crew and that they will only know the destination one at a time.
  • Ensure that the time of arrival and time of departure will be properly indicated on the trip ticket.
  • Perform the required manner of DPU verification as stated in the DPU client’s Memorandum of Agreement.
  • Sign on the duplicate portion of the deposit slip and request the client’s representative to sign on the DPU Teller’s logbook.
