Systems Administrator

Full Job Description

• Installs and configures OS, software applications, and hardware
• Manages servers and technology tools
• Troubleshoots issues and outages effectively
• Ensures security through access controls, backups, and firewalls regarding applications
• Does backup and restore of all managed server applications
• Installs, upgrades, and tests systems application with patches, new releases, and models
• Builds technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies
• Communicates effectively with clients and other teams within the organization
• Handles multiple systems and applications
• Maintains day-to-day operations of various applications

Job Qualification

• Must have 1 to 2 years proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role
• Must have experience in OS security and data backup/recovery and patch management
• Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl, or other language is a must
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and other platforms
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving capabilities
• Proven experience in installing and deploying different applications
• Willing to work long hours when necessary
• Willing to work in 24×7 shift if needed
• Microsoft/VMware/Linux Certification is a plus
