Job Description Open Border Technologies is a service-based company that understands the needs of the transportation industry, importers, and exporters. We strive to understand our customer’s unique needs, allowing us to become an integral part of their logistics needs. We are looking for a highly motivated person to fill this full-time position in our Cebu Office. The ideal candidate is reliable, works hard and is willing to learn.
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Software Developer will work as a member of the Software Development team on the development of a new SaaS web application and integrations to our ERP system. Applicants must have a strong interest in building web applications, software product development, and solving challenging problems in a team and/or individual setting.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Able to both design and implement new features while ensuring business needs are met
• Develop user-interfaces which are simple and intuitive to use
• Develop with responsiveness, scalability, and supportability in mind
• Contribute to the development of new software products
• Ensure development is in keeping with common standards and best practices
• Troubleshoot technical problems and provide timely resolutions
• Support continuous improvement efforts of an enterprise-level ERP system
• Correspond back to the Canadian Development team

Job Qualifications REQUIRED SKILLS
• Excellent English (written and verbal)
• Knowledge of Angular or similar frameworks
• Experience with C# .NET
• Experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript
• Experience with relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred)
• Familiar with Agile/Kanban/Continuous Deployment/Scrum practices
• Familiar with N-tier architecture and SaaS web architecture
• Familiar with Front End Design, responsive design, web services

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Completed university or college degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related program
• Must have at least 2-4 years of relevant experience developing web applications
• Must be able to work full time North American hours (Mountain Standard Time -7 UTC)
