Director for IT, Engineering and Architecture

Description:
Ubiquity, a leader in innovative solutions, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of IT
Operations to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development and maintenance of
our IT infrastructure, ensuring that our systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with our business
objectives. Your strategic vision will guide the IT Operations team through the complexities of modern IT
challenges, delivering effective solutions that support Ubiquity's growth and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
● Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement IT strategies that align with Ubiquity's business
goals. Lead the IT Operations team in managing and optimizing infrastructure, including network,
security, data centers, and cloud services.
● Operational Management: Ensure smooth and efficient IT operations, maintaining high
availability and performance of IT systems. Oversee the management of IT service delivery,
including helpdesk, support services, and vendor management.
● Risk Management and Compliance: Establish robust security protocols and disaster recovery
plans. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding data security and IT
governance.
● Budget and Resource Management:** Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring
cost-effective resource allocation. Lead capital investment decisions for IT infrastructure
enhancements.
● Team Leadership and Development: Cultivate a high-performing IT team through effective hiring,
training, and performance management. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and
innovation.
● Technology Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in IT operations. Lead
the exploration and implementation of new technologies to enhance business processes and
customer experience.
● Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and
challenges. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executive
management, to ensure alignment and support for IT initiatives.
Qualifications:
● Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a
related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (such as ITIL, PMP) is preferred.
● Experience: Minimum of 10 years in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in managing large-scale IT infrastructures and teams.

● Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, network management, data
security, and cloud technologies. Experience with disaster recovery planning and risk
management.
● Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities. Proven track record in
developing IT strategies and leading high-performing teams.
● Financial Acumen: Strong budgeting and financial management skills. Experience in cost
optimization and resource allocation.
● Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proficient in
communicating complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
● Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to tackle challenges
creatively and efficiently.
● Project Management: Solid experience in project management, with the ability to oversee
multiple projects simultaneously.
